Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze: What Each Buying Power Pass Tier Means for Your Next Dealership Visit
eezibuy ·

Your Buying Power Pass now comes back in one of four tiers — Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze. Each tier is Eezibuy's own read of how ready you are to buy, built from three things: your affordability, your verified documents, and your credit profile. No single number decides it, and no number is printed on your pass.
Here's what each tier actually means — and how to climb before your next dealership visit.
Platinum — Credit-Verified
Platinum is the top tier, and it has to be earned: your affordability checks out, every document is verified, and you've completed a credit check with a strong result. A Platinum pass tells any dealer they're talking to a credit-verified, finance-ready buyer — the strongest signal a buyer can carry onto a forecourt.
Gold — Approved
Gold means you're ready. Your affordability is confirmed and your documents are verified. Walk in, talk numbers, and negotiate knowing your preparation is done. Most well-prepared buyers land here.
Silver — Caution
Silver means you're nearly there — something needs a closer look before full approval. Maybe a document is still pending review, or your income is only partially verified. Your pass lists the exact reasons in plain language, so there's no guessing about what to tidy up.
Bronze — Work Needed
Bronze is a private starting point, not a rejection. It means there are gaps to close — and your pass tells you exactly which ones. Two things to know about Bronze:
- Dealers never see it. A Bronze pass is visible to you alone, so there's no awkward conversation on a showroom floor.
- Eezi guides you up. Your next steps are ready in the app, and you can re-run your check free whenever your situation improves.
Why your pass shows a tier, not a number
Older passes showed a Rand figure. The new pass deliberately doesn't — no affordability amount, no credit score, no bands. Your tier is Eezibuy's own qualification decision, and your underlying financial details stay private. A dealer sees that you're qualified; they never see your bureau data. That's better for your privacy and stronger for your negotiating position.
How to move up a tier
- Complete every document. Missing or blurry uploads are the most common reason passes settle at Silver.
- Get your income fully verified. Payslips plus matching bank statements clear this fastest.
- Reduce short-term debt where you can. Your debt-to-income position is a core affordability input.
- Re-run your check. Your pass refreshes free, any time — a new tier takes about 10 minutes.
Walk in prepared
Your tier does the talking so your finances don't have to. Run your free 10-minute check, get your Buying Power Pass, and arrive at the dealership already qualified.
